DUAL ENROLLMENT AT HSLD
Dual enrollment is an exciting opportunity for high school students to earn college credit while they are in high school. We offer in-person dual enrollment courses through our partnership with Indiana Wesleyan University, as well as, a Dual Enrollment Program that will take your student to their next level of Christ-Centered Leadership.
Dual Enrollment Program *NEW!
The Dual Enrollment Program is eligible for students who are a Junior or Senior and 16 years of age or older.
These students are eligible to participate in our Dual Enrollment Program.
This program takes our Dual Enrollment Student above the normal experience, and equips young leaders for the ministry or marketplace with real hands on learning through leadership classes, spiritual formation, internships, and more.
Students taking dual enrollment courses at Heartland School of Leadership and Development (HSLD) will be enrolled in face to face classes that are 12 weeks long.
Students must have a high school unweighted GPA of 2.5 or higher.

Dual Enrollment Classes
Classes take place at Heartland Church on Tuesdays and Thursdays | 10:15 am |
Juniors may take up to 12 credit hours per semester
Seniors may take up to 15 credit hours per semester
Cost is $500 per semester

Dual Enrollment Courses with HSLD & IWU
LDR - 220 - Developing The Self as Leader. The course covers important themes related to the person or the self as the instrument of leadership. Reflecting an inside-out perspective on leadership, the primary focus will be on developing the inner person as the foundation for effective and enduring leadership influence.
LDR - 201 - Cultivating Spiritual Authority Living the Call: Putting Faith into Action with Authority. This course will take students on a transformational journey to deepen their connection with God and strengthen their influence as a leader, both in the church and the marketplace. Using a variety of mediums, this course will look at the principles and practices for cultivating authentic spiritual authority. Students will explore what it means to walk in their everyday lives with the authority given to them by God. T
REL -227 - Celebrating Spiritual Growth: An Introduction into the Spiritual Disciplines. This course is designed to introduce students to the process of spiritual formation and explore the life long journey of being transformed into the image of Christ. This course will explore the twelve disciplines outlined by Richard Foster that are essential to spiritual growth. These disciplines include prayer, meditation, simplicity, service, confession, and more. Students will learn about each of the practices and explore how to apply them in their own lives.
